Women Who Wander: Celebrating International Women’s Day (Outdoors Edition)
At Amble, we celebrate women in the outdoors all day every day. We know that being 'outdoorsy' looks different for everyone, for some that may be a hectic multi week hike, but for many others it's a more gentle experience, from walking your dog, to cycling to the farmers market, checking out that waterfall on holiday, or learning more about native flowers in your community and when they flower.
And so, for International Women's Day we thought we'd feature a handful of women who inspire us through their journeys, their work and how they show up in the outdoors. Different stories, different styles of adventure, same underlying thread: doing it their way.
Courtney Eve White | Thru Hiker

Courtney (@courtneyevewhite) has just completed hiking the full length of the Te Araroa trail in New Zealand, hiking from the top to the bottom of the country, about 3,000km which is no small feat. We loved following her journey, the cinematic moments, and the every day struggles of hiking all day every day.
Shoshannah | Solo Mum Adventurer

Shoshannah (@shoshannah.nz) shares her solo trips as an outdoorsy mum, and we are so inspired how she manages to get outdoors with two little ones and making adventure seem more manageable even in a busy season of life. We love how she shares the hikes, the chaos and the daily process to get to the start of the trail.
Hilary McAllister | For Wild Places

Hilary (@hilarymcallister_) is the CEO of For Wild Places, and her work centres around caring for wild places while helping people connect with them. We’re inspired by how she brings care and responsibility into the outdoor space, and by the way she uses her platform to look after the places many of us spend time in 🍃
Chelsea | Founder of Hydee
Chelsea is the founder of Hydee (@hydeeblends) and one of our 2025 Adventure Grant sponsors. Her work is rooted in wellbeing in the outdoors and nourishing your body, and we love how naturally that carries into her time outside, be that at a run club, a marathon, or something a little more low key.
Kesh | Outdoorsy Creator

Kesh (@earthtokesh) is one of our favourite outdoor creators. Her camp meals look genuinely better than our cooking at home, and she's always sharing places that make it our future trip list. She's explored and camped her way all through Victoria, always with the most delicious meals and snacks 🍪
Rebecca | Vampire Outdoors

Rebecca is the founder of Vampire Outdoors (@vampireoutdoors), one of our UK stockists, and someone we admire a lot. She’s built a business that’s centred around community and making outdoor spaces feel more welcoming and inclusive, which we couldn't be more of a fan of 🫶
Laila & Martina | Solo Season

Laila and Martina run women’s hiking trips in Tasmania through Solo Season (@soloseason_tas), and we’re such fans of what they’re building. Their excitement and enthusiasm for the outdoors is palpable. Their trips bring people together to walk, learn, and share the experience. If heading out on your own feels like a big step, what they offer is a really supportive way to start (and in some of the most picturesque places in Tassie) 🥾
Tracey | Adventure Grant Recipient

Tracey (@__traceybrooke__) was our 2025 Adventure Grant recipient, and we’re so proud to have backed her Cape to Cape adventure - hiking the coastline of WA with her daughters. More on that in the journal here.
Our Community

And lastly, you! Our community. The messages, the photos, the questions, the stories you share with us about getting outside. We see it, we read it, and it honestly means so much to us. We love being a part of your adventures, in every form they take, and you continue to inspire us to continue building Amble.
